Our Home Basket is filled with farming kits, cooking utensils, warm blankets, vocational training, after-school care and financial and English language lessons for resettled families.

The greater your generosity, the more lives we can help rescue and rebuild.

Amount Descriptions: 
$50 can train one community health worker to identify and treat childhood diseases.
$100 can provide a bassinet, blankets, and clothes for a newborn in a resettled refugee family in the U.S.
$250 can provide afterschool care for a resettled refugee child in the U.S.
$500 can provide farming kits with tools and seeds to help eight former child soldiers regain their livelihoods and reintegrate into their communities.
$1,000 can provide eight tents in a refugee camp, each sheltering a family of eight.
$5,000 can provide financial literacy instruction to 15 refugee families, who are rebuilding their lives in the U.S.
$25,000 can provide job placement, vocational training and English as a Second Language classes for 75 refugees resettled in the United States.

The IRC works with refugees for as long as it takes to help them rebuild their lives and regain what is most important and valuable:

a place to call home.
